Firm settings
Configure registration, email confirmation, two-factor login, and document storage.
Administration → Settings configures tenant-wide policies that affect every user and the firm's document experience.
Configure firm policies
Registration
Allow users to register controls whether people can create their own accounts. When this setting is off, only administrators create accounts under Administration → Users. Turn registration off when the firm wants administrators to control onboarding and access directly.
Email confirmation and login security
You can require email confirmation before a user can log in. This helps the firm ensure that an account is associated with a confirmed email address before access begins.
You can also require two-factor authentication at login. CaseWizard uses TOTP for the enforced two-factor flow. Tell users about the policy before enabling it so they can complete the additional login step.
Email provider settings are available for future channels. The current enforced two-factor method is TOTP.
Tenant-wide settings affect the firm's users. Plan changes with the person responsible for onboarding and login support before saving them.
Document storage
Choose exactly one document provider for the tenant. The available choices are:
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| None | Hides Documents and Document Merge |
| SharePoint | Uses Microsoft document libraries |
| Egnyte | Uses Egnyte folders |
Select None when the firm does not use document storage through CaseWizard. Select SharePoint or Egnyte only after the firm has planned the related integration setup.
Switching providers does not migrate existing files. Do not change the provider as a test or as a shortcut for moving documents. Plan the cutover with your administrator and integration owner.
After you save
Check the result with a test user or an appropriate administrator. For registration changes, confirm the intended onboarding path. For login policy changes, confirm that users understand email confirmation and TOTP requirements. For document storage changes, verify the selected integration before users begin document work.
